A HISTORIC AND ONE-OF-A-KIND COLLECTION

The John Alvin Art Estate is the collection of ORIGINAL film production art from the career of master visual storyteller and movie poster illustrator John Alvin. Owned by the Alvin family, it includes 1010 pieces of original art showing the process from concept to finished movie posters from some of the most beloved classics of the 1970s, 80s, 90s, and early 2000s.

It is being offered for sale by the Alvin family as one collection, and no piece will be sold separately. The estate is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for a film fan, art collector, or pop culture enthusiast to own a collection essential to film history.

John Alvin, who worked on over 200 movie campaigns, spoke of creating “the promise of a great experience”. His images led to a Disney executive coining the expression “Alvin-izing”.
